Former Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has revealed that he is in a bid to form a formidable coalition as the country gears up to the next general elections and political moves continue to take shape. After hosting a delegation of leaders from Samburu County on February 1st at his infamous Wamunyoro home, the former second in command took to his social media accounts to inform Kenyans and his followers of the event and his plans moving ahead.
“One of the most impressive things I have experienced during these consultations is that Kenyans know what is going wrong, and they have simple and practical suggestions of what we need to do to fix what’s not working. Essentially, the solutions to our problems are within us,” he stated.
The one-time DP also called for a shift in political engagement, advocating for a discourse that ensures every Kenyan feels included in national decision-making.
“All we need to do is ensure that every Kenyan feels part of the process we are embarking on. We will re-orientate our political discourse,” he added.
His remarks come amid ongoing national discussions on governance, economic challenges, and political reforms. Gachagua’s statement signals his continued involvement in shaping Kenya’s political landscape, with expectations of more engagements with different communities across the country.
In the past couple of weeks, Gachagua’s Wamunyoro residence has been receiving various political visitors with reliable political dynamics indicating that Mr.Gachagua is in a bid to prove wrong his opponents who massively rallied for his removal from office. Last week, he accompanied his allies to visit NARC-Kenya party leader Martha Karua where they together hinted in forming a powerful political alliance.
