Rapper King Kaka and media personality Nana Owiti have announced their separation after 13 years together.
In a joint statement issued on Tuesday, December 17, the two explained that the decision came after much reflection and consideration. They also appealed for privacy and understanding as they navigate the transition.
“We honestly never thought we would one day write a statement like this, but life happens. After much reflection and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to end our relationship,” the statement read in part.
The two highlighted their journey, sharing the countless memories and a life they built together, including raising three children, who remain their top priority.
“This decision was not made lightly, and we remain deeply committed to maintaining a respectful and supportive relationship as we move forward separately. As public figures, we recognize that our personal lives may attract attention, but we kindly ask for privacy and understanding during this time,” the statement added.
King Kaka and Nana reiterated their commitment to co-parenting, emphasizing the importance of their children’s happiness and well-being.
“Our focus remains on co-parenting our children with love, stability, and respect. They are the heart of everything we do, and their happiness and well-being will always come first,” they noted.
The pair expressed gratitude for the love and support they have received throughout their journey, asking for continued kindness as they embrace the future as individuals while co-parenting with partnership and dedication.
