TSC Announces 19,943 Job Vacancies for Teachers and Administrators; How to Apply

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has advertised 19,943 job vacancies for teachers and administrators across various education levels. The positions include leadership roles and teaching opportunities in regular schools, special needs education (SNE), and Teachers Training Colleges (TTC).

In the leadership category, TSC is recruiting:

• Chief Principals: 44 for regular schools and 3 for TTCs.
• Senior Principals: 126 for regular schools and 3 for TTCs.
• Principals: 652 for regular schools and 3 for TTCs.

Deputy Principal roles include:

• 786 positions for Deputy Principal II in secondary schools.
• 3 for TTCs.
• 1,408 for Deputy Principal III in regular schools.

For TTC lecturers, vacancies are available for:

• 13 Senior Lecturer I positions.
• 32 Senior Lecturer II positions.
• 61 Senior Lecturer III positions.

Senior Master positions include:

• 2 for Senior Master II in SNE secondary schools.
• 6 for Senior Master III in SNE secondary schools.
• 1,987 for Senior Master III in regular schools.
• 2,221 for Senior Master IV in secondary schools.
• 70 Senior Lecturer IV roles in TTCs.

The Commission has also advertised:

• 184 Secondary Teacher I positions for diploma holders.
• 7 Lecturer I positions.
• 254 Senior Head Teacher roles in regular schools and 7 in SNE schools.

At the primary school level, available positions include:

• Head Teachers: 2,130 for regular schools and 33 for SNE schools.
• Deputy Head Teacher II: 3,653 for regular schools and 33 for SNE schools.
• Senior Teacher I: 4,703 for regular primary schools and 77 for SNE schools.
• Senior Teacher II: 1,364 for regular schools and 81 for SNE schools.

Interested candidates must apply online through the TSC portal at www.teachersonline.go.ke by midnight, 30th December 2024. The TSC also encouraged applicants from previous adverts (Adverts 1 to 4 of 2024) to reapply.

Successful candidates will be posted to schools with existing vacancies. The Commission reiterated its commitment to equal employment opportunities, urging individuals with disabilities to apply.
