President’s Office Announces Consultancy Jobs for Bottom-Up Economic Agenda

The Office of the President has announced that it is seeking to hire a team of senior consultants to provide services in the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

In a notice on Tuesday, November 12, the State House Comptroller disclosed that the consultants will be hired on an ‘as and when required basis.’

“The Executive Office of the President – State House, is seeking to develop a database of senior experts to provide Consultancy services on a short-term basis,” reads part of the notice.

The State House is looking for consultants in macroeconomics, microeconomics, household and welfare economics, agricultural economics (value chains, agricultural finance) and natural resource economics (energy, environment, and climate finance).

It is also seeking to hire consultants in industrial economics and law and policy experts in investment climate, ease of doing business, regulation, consumer protection, competition policy, property rights, climate action, biotechnology, creative industries and digital economy.

Requirements

Interested candidates should demonstrate that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience, provide documentary evidence for at least five similar assignments executed and completed in the last 10 years, and submit a cover letter and duly filled pre-qualification forms.

They should also have a minimum qualification of MA/MSc in Economics, Law (LLB) or related fields, at least 10 years of experience with a track record in research, policy analysis, policy advisory, and at least three publications.

Interested candidates are required to obtain and fill out pre-qualified application forms provided on the websites www.president.go.ke and https://www.tenders.go.ke

“Forms which are not completely filled out and submitted in the prescribed manner will not be considered. All the documents that form part of the expression of interest must be written in English. The applicant shall submit only one application in its own name in the area of specialization,” the State House Comptroller remarked.
