President William Ruto has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to bold, timely, and necessary decisions as the foundation of Kenya’s national transformation agenda.
Speaking after meeting leaders from Tharaka-Nithi County at State House, Nairobi, President Ruto emphasized that Kenya’s past delays in implementing critical reforms had contributed to its lagging progress compared to peer nations. He underscored that his government was determined to change that trajectory by prioritizing initiatives that deliver real value to citizens.
“The transformation of our country will only become a reality with leaders who make decisions that are not only necessary and bold, but also right,” the President said. “For far too long, Kenya has lagged behind its peers because we procrastinated in making bold decisions.”
President Ruto highlighted the tangible impact of recent reforms in universal health coverage, access to quality and affordable education, affordable housing, and revitalized agriculture—all of which, he noted, are already yielding dividends for Kenyans.
He also pointed to ongoing infrastructure projects in Tharaka-Nithi, including the provision of clean water and the construction of the long-awaited Nithi Bridge, as examples of how his administration is ensuring development reaches every corner of the country.
“Our agenda is clear: inclusive growth that lifts communities and secures a better future for all Kenyans,” he stated.
The President’s remarks come amid continued efforts to fast-track key development projects across counties, with the government urging cooperation and support from local leaders.
