Over 200 Job Vacancies Announced by Ministry of Roads in Nationwide Recruitment Drive; How to apply

The Ministry of Roads and Transport, through its State Department for Roads, has announced a major recruitment drive aimed at filling more than 200 vacancies across various job categories.

In a public notice issued on Tuesday, July 29, the department invited qualified Kenyans to apply for a wide range of technical and support roles to support ongoing road construction and maintenance projects.

“The State Department for Roads invites applications from qualified persons for various positions at the State Department,” the notice read.

The advertised positions span job groups CSG 13 to CSG 15 and include roles such as housekeeping assistants, cooks, waiters, drivers, plant operators, and artisans. Applications must be submitted by August 22, 2025.

Among the positions with the highest number of openings are:

  • Housekeeping Assistant III – 27 positions
  • Cook III – 23 positions
  • Security Warden III – 23 positions
  • Artisan Plant Mechanic III – 16 positions
  • Artisan Auto Electrician Mechanic III – 15 positions

Other available roles include Driver Instructor III, Plant Operator Instructor III, Waiter Assistant III, Artisan Tailoring III, Artisan Upholsterer III, and Driver II for both light and heavy commercial vehicles.

Interested applicants are required to complete the Public Service Commission (PSC) Form 2 (Revised 2016), which can be downloaded from the PSC website.
