Kanyenya-ini Ward MCA Grace Nduta Wairimu was on Wednesday charged at the Milimani Law Courts alongside three others over an alleged plot to stage the abduction of Juja Member of Parliament George Koimburi.

Appearing before Chief Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi, the four — Wairimu, Peter Kiratu Mbari, David Macharia Gatana, and Cyrus Kieru Muhia — were charged with conspiracy to defeat justice, giving false information to a public officer, and publishing false information, contrary to the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act.

All four denied the charges and were each released on a cash bail of Ksh300,000. They are also required to present three contact persons to secure their release.

However, the court issued warrants of arrest for three other accused individuals, including MP Koimburi himself, for failing to appear in court without a satisfactory explanation. Also facing arrest are Peter (6th accused) and Njuguna, alias Njugush (7th accused).

The matter, registered under CR: 145/143/2025 and CF: E376/2023, is scheduled for mention on August 5.
