Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita received Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi in Rabat today.
Mudavadi is visiting Morocco for the first time since Kenya established her first ever Embassy in Rabat and posting a full fledged Ambassador in this Mghareb economic powerhouse.

Notably, this meeting is part of the renewed momentum in relations between the two countries since President William Ruto came to power in 2022.
According to the two ministers, this bilateral momentum reflects a positive evolution, driven by growing commitment at all levels.
Following their meeting, Bourita and Mudavadi signed bilateral agreements on various areas of cooperation.
Both countries agreed on the need to schedule the first session of the Morocco-Kenya Joint Cooperation Commission, with the mandate to establish a legal framework governing initiatives that would strengthen bilateral cooperation across several sectors including commercial, socio-economic and cultural.
On the multilateral level, the two ministers emphasized the importance of political consultations within various international fora and organizations to harmonize points of view on issues of common interest.
This, in accordance with the principles of peacekeeping, and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of States.
A year ago, President Ruto appointed Jessica Muthoni Gakinya as the first Kenyan ambassador to Morocco signalling a new chapter of economic and diplomatic relations between the two regional economic giants of Africa.
