The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has launched an online auction featuring a variety of items, including clothes, household goods, and motorcycles.
In a notice issued on Monday, March 24, KRA confirmed that bidding had commenced on its digital platform and would remain open until Wednesday, March 26, at 8:55 a.m.
Interested buyers can browse the listed items, each accompanied by a photograph and a starting bid price. Some of the highlighted products include an Arsenal football jersey with a minimum bid of Ksh661 and cotton shirts priced from Ksh2,204.
Additionally, KRA has placed luxury food items such as champagne and chocolates on auction, with the starting price set at Ksh6,032. A 100CC TVS motorcycle is also available for bidding, starting at Ksh30,000. Other items up for grabs include handbags, hair extensions, women’s dresses, magazines, and sandals.
How to Participate in the Auction
To view the available items and place bids, participants can visit KRA’s online auction platform at ibid.kra.go.ke. To submit a bid, users must log in using their KRA PIN and iTax password.
This initiative is part of KRA’s efforts to dispose of unclaimed goods while generating revenue for the government.
