Kenya Airways has flagged a job advert that has been doing rounds on social media announcing vacant positions.

KQ on Tuesday said the job advert post is fake urging Kenyans to be more vigilant so as not to fall prey to conmen.

“Please be aware that the message circulating on social media regarding job openings at Kenya Airways is FAKE and did not come from us.” KQ said.

Kenya Airways said they usually post all their job adverts on their official website and channels.

“For accurate and hiring information, always refer to our official website and channels.” KQ added.

The fake advert dated October 24, 2024, called for applications for five different positions which were airline food server, flight attendant, receptionist, booking clerk and security officer.

The fake advert purported that KQ  was hiring “due to an urgent need for professional trainees”.

The advert even listed the qualifications expected of the candidates and their key responsibilities.
