The Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has raised the alarm over a poster circulating on social media falsely claiming that the facility is offering a nursing internship program.
In a statement on Monday, December 23, KNH cautioned Kenyans to be wary of the fraudulent program, urging the public to remain vigilant against such schemes that promise unrealistic benefits.
The hospital advised the public to verify the legitimacy of such programs with accredited institutions and avoid making any upfront payments.
“Beware of fraudulent nursing internship advertisements promising unrealistic benefits or requiring upfront payments,” the statement read.
KNH encouraged individuals to conduct thorough research before committing to any program and to report suspicious advertisements to protect themselves and others.
The warning comes weeks after the hospital officially advertised job openings in various departments within the facility.
On Tuesday, November 12, KNH announced 47 vacant positions, inviting qualified candidates to apply. The advertised roles included Senior Director of Clinical Services, Director of Nursing Services, Chief Manager (ICT), Senior Principal Occupational Therapist, Architect, Clerk of Works, and Quantity Surveyor.
KNH continues to remind the public to stay cautious and verify information to safeguard their careers and personal information.
