The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), in partnership with the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), has announced the availability of 5,000 training slots for the March 2025 intake.
In separate statements on X on Wednesday, both institutions confirmed that prospective students can apply for any of the 21 available programmes at KMTC before the March 4, 2025, deadline.
KUCCPS encouraged students who were unsuccessful in previous applications, as well as new applicants, to take advantage of the opportunity.
“All applicants who were unsuccessful in the last application and others who would like to join KMTC in March 2025 are invited to apply. The application process is accessible via our student portal link,” KUCCPS stated.
The portal was previously open between January 24, 2025, and February 14, 2025, during which KUCCPS CEO Agnes Wahome confirmed that the slots are available to Form Four leavers who sat the KCSE exams between 2000 and 2024.
KMTC CEO Kelly Oluoch highlighted the significance of the intake, urging interested applicants to seize the opportunity.
“The vacancies are available in 21 selected courses. The portal will remain open for the next seven days,” he stated.
Dr Oluoch also assured applicants that the college has put in place support measures for those experiencing challenges during the application process.
“Backed by KUCCPS, we have deployed officers in selected campuses and trained our desk officers to provide the necessary support,” he added.
The announcement comes as KMTC finalises admissions for students selected in the previous application cycle. Last week, the institution began dispatching 14,338 admission letters for successful applicants expected to join the March 2025 intake.
Dr Oluoch further confirmed that admission letters for students enrolling in upgrading courses—including diploma, higher diploma, and certificate programmes—will continue to be released in the coming days.
New students are expected to report to their respective KMTC campuses on March 18, 2025.
