All roads lead to the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (K.I.C.D) as women teachers gather under the auspices of the The Kenya Women Teachers Association for the annual national conference this Thursday 21 November to Friday 22.
The conference aptly themed ‘Transformative Empowerment – Breaking Barriers and Bridging Gaps for Women Educators in the 21st Century’, is set to attract educations form all walks of life as Kenya grapple with the new Competence Based Curriculum.
Harriette Chigai, a Kenyan legal professional with expertise in governance, corporate law, and youth mentorship will deliver the keynote address
Chigai today serves as President Wiliam Ruto Advisor on Women’s Rights – a cabinet level position in government.

Also lined to make presentation in the Honoray Consul for Estonia, H.E Kadry Humal-Ayal who has been recognized for her contributions to Estonia-Africa relations and was awarded Estonia’s Cross of Merit in 2021.
Other presenters include Kenya Heads Association Chairman Jonson Nzioka, Governance and Life Coach Dr Jennifer Karina and Mr. Splinter Buluku, a dedicated educator and a community leader.
The evening programme will see the elegance of beauty and fashion design displays through a beauty pageant to decide on the Miss KEWOTA.
Friday will see members come together for the Annual General Meeting.
Leading the programme with be KEWOTA top leadership including the National CEO Benta Opande, National Chairperson Modesta Akaki and the National Treasurer Jacinta Ndegwa.
