Kenya Crush Morocco 5-0 to Seal dominant 7-2 Aggregate Victory

Kenya’s Harambee Starlets wrapped up their Moroccan tour in style with a commanding 5-0 victory over the hosts in a friendly match played at Mohammed IV Stadium on Tuesday, December 3.

The emphatic win secured a 7-2 aggregate triumph over Morocco in the two-legged friendly series, showcasing Kenya’s growing dominance in women’s football.

The Starlets had rallied from two goals down to force a 2-2 draw in the first leg, thanks to a sensational brace by Mwanalima Adam, who once again stole the show in the second match.

Head coach Beldine Odemba made strategic changes to her lineup, bringing in Vivian Nasaka and Corazone Aquino, who both proved pivotal in the team’s performance.

Kenya opened the scoring early through Ulinzi Starlets’ forward Fasila Adhiambo, who carried her lethal club form into the national team. Mwanalima Adam doubled the lead before halftime, tormenting Morocco’s defense throughout the two fixtures.

The second half began with a bang as Adam scored again within a minute, securing her second brace of the series. Seven minutes later, Violet Nanjala added the fourth goal, leaving Morocco reeling.

Charity Mideva sealed the rout with a fifth goal, ensuring Starlets maintained their relentless pressure until the final whistle.

This impressive showing marked a continuation of the Starlets’ stellar run during the December FIFA women’s international break. Their last outing before the Morocco series was in October, where they crushed the Philippines 4-1.

Coach Odemba’s tactical prowess and the squad’s determination have solidified Kenya’s reputation as a rising powerhouse in women’s football.
