Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday visited the family of the late Content Creator and influencer Tabitha Gatwiri.
Musyoka, alongside former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua, and members of Nairobi County’s leadership, extended his condolences during a meeting with Gatwiri’s family in Nairobi.
They met with Gatwiri’s father Robert Kirimi and her brother Brian.
“I met with the family of Tabitha Gatwiri earlier today in Nairobi to convey my profound sympathy following her untimely passing last week,” Kalonzo said.
Describing Gatwiri as “extremely gifted,” Musyoka conveyed his admiration for the young creator’s talents to her father Robert Kirimi and brother Brian.
He noted that her passing has deeply resonated with people across Kenya and beyond, highlighting the widespread sorrow as a testament to the impact of Gatwiri’s creativity.
“Her talents impacted a great number of people,” Musyoka said. “The creative industry has lost a vital content producer.” He also thanked public figures and fellow creators such as Alex Mathenge, widely known as “Security Engineer,” along with MCA Tricky, Naomi Kuria, and Shipira, for their solidarity with Gatwiri’s family during this challenging time.
The former Vice President encouraged those mourning to remember the joy Gatwiri brought to others through her content. “May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus,” he shared as a message of comfort.

Gatwiri, 29, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
An Autopsy done at Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary established that she died of suffocation,
“The late Gatwiri passed on from positional asphyxia with brain oedema,” the statement read.
Positional asphyxia is a type of suffocation that occurs when a person’s position hinders them from breathing adequately.
Positional asphyxia, also known as jack-knife position, can occur when someone is in an abnormal position for too long.
This can obstruct the airway, prevent the body from getting enough oxygen, and lead to unconsciousness, suffocation, or death. It occurs when someone’s body position prevents them from breathing properly, leading to brain oedema and death.
