Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya on Monday, July 28, hosted Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen in Kitale during the ongoing Jukwa la Usalama tour.

In a statement, Natembeya said the meeting, held at the Governor’s office, centred on critical issues affecting residents, including rampant land grabbing and insecurity.

“Today, I welcomed the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, Hon. Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen, who paid a courtesy call to my office during his Jukwa la Usalama tour in Trans Nzoia County,” Natembeya stated.

The two leaders underscored the importance of unity and intergovernmental collaboration to address long-standing land disputes and promote lasting peace in the region.

“Our discussions focused on key regional issues, including the persistent problem of land grabbing. We agreed on the need for stronger collaboration between national and county governments to tackle such challenges head on and to promote peace, security, and sustainable development for the people of Trans Nzoia,” Natembeya added.
