Former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi has revealed his net worth, stating he is worth approximately Ksh1.2 billion. Speaking during a television interview on Monday, December 2, Havi emphasized that his financial status justifies his significant donations to church causes.
Responding to concerns raised by his constituents about President William Ruto’s church contributions, Havi addressed the broader topic of unexplained wealth.
“My constituents question how the president, earning Ksh2 million a month, donates Ksh5 million every week. There’s something called unexplained wealth. However, the president is a big farmer and a man of deep pockets, not just reliant on his salary,” Havi said.
He added, “I am also not a man of shallow pockets. According to KRA, my net worth is about Ksh1.2 billion. So, if you see me donating Ksh5 million in church, don’t ask silly questions.”
Havi, who recently declared his intention to vie for the presidency in 2027, reiterated his vision of providing an alternative to President Ruto, who is expected to seek re-election.

“I want to serve in accordance with the constitution and the will of the people,” he stated. “Youthful Kenyans demand alternative leadership, and that is what I aim to offer.”
The former LSK boss expressed his commitment to upholding the rule of law and the principles enshrined in the Kenyan constitution if elected president.
Havi’s declaration adds to the growing list of leaders positioning themselves for the 2027 race, promising a spirited contest as Kenya looks toward its next general election.
