The spouse of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Pastor Dorcas, has joined her husband in congratulating Donald Trump on his election as the 47th President of the US.
“As a pastor, a mother, and a wife, and on behalf of the church of Kenya, we sincerely bless the Lord God for you and your family,” she said.
Dorcas cited a passage from Genesis 1:26-28, emphasizing humankind’s purpose to “rule” and “subdue” the earth, referencing God’s creation of humanity in His image.
“Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground. ”
Gachagua had earlier congratulated Trump on his re-election
In a statement on X page on Wednesday, November 6, the former DP described Trump’s projected victory as one of the greatest political come-backs of this generation.
“Congratulations President Donald Trump, for one of the greatest political come-backs of our generation. Your victory is clear proof that resilience and a never-say-die attitude will always trump obstacles on the path to your destiny,” he said.
