Detectives investigating the recovery of a mutilated body found at Langata cemetery on October 31, 2024, have made a significant breakthrough, shedding light on the activities of Hashim Dagane Muhumed, the prime suspect in the murders of a mother, her daughter, and her 12-year-old niece.
The victim is believed to be Deka Abdinoor Gorone, reported missing at California police station on October 24, 2024. Forensic analysis is underway to confirm her identity.
Following crucial evidence from the scene, detectives traced the victim to a Quickmart supermarket in the city, where CCTV footage captured her shopping on October 29, 2024. The victim was later seen entering an apartment in Lavington, again captured by CCTV.
Detectives established that the victim was in the company of Hashim Dagane, who resided in the apartment. On October 31, 2024, Dagane was seen leaving the apartment with two bags, suspected to contain the victim’s remains, which were later found at Langata cemetery.
After Dagane left, the apartment owner discovered the crime, cleaned the premises, repainted the rooms, and then disappeared. Authorities are actively searching for him.
