Harambee Stars interim head coach Francis Kimanzi has unveiled the final squad of 24 players set to represent Kenya in the upcoming Mapinduzi Cup, slated to kick off on January 3, 2025, in Pemba Island.
The team, which has been in a residential training camp ahead of the tournament, is scheduled to depart Nairobi for Pemba on January 2, 2025.
“We initially had a larger squad to ensure we gave everyone a fair chance to showcase their abilities. All 40 players in the camp displayed great quality, but we needed to narrow it down to 24 for the Mapinduzi Cup. This squad will form the foundation as we prepare for CHAN,” said Kimanzi.
The tournament will serve as a crucial platform for the Harambee Stars to fine-tune their preparations for the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN).
