Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested another suspect in the ongoing investigation into the murder of Willis Ayieko, a Human Resources Manager at Wells Fargo.
The suspect, identified as Duncan Onyango, also known by his alias “Otuch,” was apprehended at his hideout in Bondo Sub-county.
“Duncan Onyango, alias Otuch, was arrested at his hideout in Bondo sub-county,” DCI said.
“The Detectives investigating the case conducted a scene reenactment exercise with one of the previously arrested suspect, who identified the house of Duncan Onyango as the location where the victim was tortured and murdered.” DCI explained.
Ayieko’s body was discovered less than 400 meters from Onyango’s residence, intensifying suspicions that the location may have played a central role in the murder.
“The suspect is undergoing processing for arraignment in court” DCI stated.
On Tuesday, DCI arrested another suspect linked to the murder of the former Wells Fargo official.
The directorate noted that the suspect, Fredrick Otieno Omondi is alleged to have provided transport for other suspects in the incident to the location where Ayieko was abducted.
On Thursday, the family of Ayieko held a memorial service for the deceased at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi.
The deceased will be laid to rest on Saturday, November 9, even as the family called for justice.
