The Government Delivery Unit (GDU) has dismissed claims regarding the alleged resignation of Dr. Peter Mbae from Government Delivery Services (GDS), clarifying that his tenure ended on July 11, 2024.
According to a statement, Dr. Mbae’s role was tied to the portfolio of former Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management, Moses Kuria. His contract concluded with the dissolution of the Cabinet, and all dues were settled as of July 11, 2024.
“Dr. Mbae cannot resign from a position he does not hold,” the GDU noted, refuting allegations of a January 2025 resignation as misleading.
The unit further dismissed claims of unfavorable working conditions during Dr. Mbae’s tenure as baseless and assured stakeholders that operations have continued seamlessly under Acting Head, Mr. Lee Kyonze, appointed on July 12, 2024.
