President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, has announced a new competition aimed at empowering Kenyan youth through technology and design.

In a statement shared on Saturday, January 11, Charlene unveiled the launch of a UI/UX website design competition under The Young People’s Network International (TYPNI), an organization she founded and serves as patron.

The competition invites teams of three, comprising members aged between 18 and 35 years, to showcase their creativity and technical skills. Each team must include company directors, submit three links to previous work, and provide a brief technical proposal to qualify.

Participants stand a chance to win a total prize of $1,500 (approximately Ksh194,000).

“It’s time for our next big thing – the Website Competition! If you’re between 18-35 years, gather a team of 3 and show us what you’ve got!” Charlene announced.
“Win $1,500 USD! Let’s see your creativity shine with TYPNI.”
