The 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) will kick off on August 2 and run until August 30, marking the first time in history the tournament will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), CHAN is unique in that it features national teams composed exclusively of players based in their domestic leagues, making it a key showcase of local football talent across Africa.

Format and Group Stage Breakdown

A total of 19 teams have been drawn into four groups—three groups of five teams and one group of four. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals.
