Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata has made a public appeal for financial support to assist a nominated Member of County Assembly (MCA) from Murang’a, who is currently in hospital.
In a statement shared on the evening of Tuesday, November 12, Kang’ata highlighted the urgent need for assistance for MCA Mark Wainaina, who has been diagnosed with a severe pulmonary condition that has led to the failure of both his lungs.
The Murang’a County Assembly has organized a fundraising dinner to help cover medical expenses, and members of the public are invited to attend.
The event will take place on Friday, November 15, at Sagret Hotel, Milimani, Nairobi starting at 6:00 p.m.
Wainaina, a member of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, has been receiving treatment for the life-threatening condition.
“The Murang’a County Assembly Members Caucus invites you to a fundraising dinner in support of our colleague, Hon. Mark G. Wainaina, who has been diagnosed with a severe pulmonary disease that has caused both of his lungs to fail,” the appeal read in part.
