LSK Chief Faith Odhiambo Honored as One of 2025’s Most Influential Women

Date:

The Institute for African Women in Law (IAWL) has recognized Faith Odhiambo, the President of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), as one of the 25 most inspiring women of 2025.

Odhiambo, who took over LSK’s leadership in March last year, has been instrumental in restoring the integrity, influence, and stature of the legal body. As only the second female president in LSK’s history, her tenure has reinforced the society’s crucial role in defending justice, upholding constitutionalism, and safeguarding the rule of law.

According to a statement from IAWL, Odhiambo’s leadership is defined by integrity, strategic advocacy, and proactive collaboration. These qualities, along with her commitment to human rights and the legal profession, have set her apart as a transformative figure in Kenya’s legal landscape.

“Throughout her career, she has faced numerous challenges but has remained steadfast in overcoming them,” the statement read.

Odhiambo credits her success to lessons learned from both personal experiences and the influence of other phenomenal women in law.

“The reflections shared in this recognition are not just about excellence but also about inspiring future leaders,” she said.

Her leadership continues to shape Kenya’s legal fraternity, with her emphasis on resilience, adaptability, evidence-based advocacy, and empowerment of others marking her as a role model for aspiring legal professionals across Africa.
