The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced a vacancy for the position of member at the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) and is inviting applications from qualified Kenyan citizens interested in the role.
The appointed individual will represent the PSC in the SRC, which is responsible for regulating salaries and remuneration for public officers.
To qualify for the position, PSC has outlined that applicants must hold a degree from a university recognized in Kenya. They should also have at least ten years of experience in fields such as finance and administration, public management, economics, human resource management, or labour laws.
Additionally, candidates must meet the integrity requirements set out in Chapter Six of the Constitution and have a distinguished career in their respective professions.
The responsibilities of the appointed individual will include advising on salaries and remuneration for public officers, conducting salary reviews and market surveys, and ensuring fair and equitable pay structures. They will also be tasked with making recommendations on pensions and allowances for public officers.
