Kakamega county Deputy Governor Ayub Savula has slammed his boss and DAP-Kenya party leader Eugene Wamalwa’s association with former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka.

According to the DG who also doubles up as the DAP-Kenya Deputy leader, Kalonzo Musyoka is not going anywhere politically, and his boss is also lost by following him.

Speaking on Sunday 9th, Savula said that Raila Odinga remains the kingpin of the Nyanza region and Eugene should join him in supporting the government in the broadbased government if he wants a bright political future.

“I know Kalonzo Musyoka is not going anywhere yet Eugene is following him. Eugene is my party leader, but their game is low, and I personally follow the leads of Raila Odinga,” Ayub Savula said.

As Kenya approaches the 2027 General Election, political dynamics are shifting, notably with the emerging alliance between Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) leader Eugene Wamalwa. Both leaders have expressed intentions to run for the presidency, with discussions underway about a joint ticket featuring Mr. Musyoka as the presidential candidate and Mr. Wamalwa as his running mate.

This potential partnership arises amid dissatisfaction with the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition, particularly following opposition leader Raila Odinga’s recent collaboration with President William Ruto’s administration. Mr. Wamalwa has criticized this move as a significant betrayal, leading both him and Mr. Musyoka to consider departing from Azimio.
