Date:

Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi joined global leaders in congratulating U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on his return to office.

Mudavadi described Trump’s win as a “historic return” and praised the resilience of democratic values evident in the election

“The election has been a testament to the resilience of democratic values, with Americans making their voices resoundingly heard,” Mudavadi said in a statement on X.

“As you prepare to assume leadership, leaders worldwide anticipate the opportunity to work together once more in addressing global challenges and advancing a brighter future for all.” Mudavadi added.

Earlier on, President William Ruto said Trump’s victory is a testament to the firm resolve of the American people to repose confidence in his visionary, bold and innovative leadership.

“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Kenya and my behalf, I convey my warmest congratulations on your election as the 47th President of the United States of America,” he said.

The President said Kenya stands ready to further enhance its cooperation with the US on matters of mutual interest, including trade, investment, technology and innovation, peace and security, and sustainable development.

“Kenya values its longstanding partnership with the United States spanning over 60 years grounded in our shared values of democracy, development and mutual respect,” he said.

“We look forward to deepening our collaboration under your leadership as we work together to address global challenges, promote peace and security and foster inclusive economic growth for the benefit of our peoples.”

World leaders trooped to social media to congratulate Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump over his project win of the November 5, elections.

The numbers suggest that Trump has already crossed the 270 mark required in the Electoral College votes for one to win.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer congratulated Trump, saying that he looks forward to working with him in the coming years.
