Controversial Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has been in the limelight has finally come out to set the record on his association with to Club Timba XO, an entertainment joint on the heart of Eldoret city along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway. The club well known for its modernized ambience over other existing entertainment joins within the city is characterized by a massive dance floor, high-class seating areas, and an oversized parking compound that caters to hundreds of guests every night.
All these have attracted a public scrutiny with allegations indicating that Oscar Sudi is the brains behind the nourishment of the joint and his political rivals using the opportunity to link it to his political position.
Speaking on Tuesday 4th during the burial ceremony of Dwayne Mungai, who until his demise worked at the Timber XO club in Soy Uasin Gishu county, Sudi agreed that he owns the club but is not involved in the day-to-day operations.
“Pale Timba tuko na watu zaidi ya mia mbili lakini wewe unaona tu Sudi. Timba sio Sudi nataka leo niwaelimishe kidogo ukianza biashara unapea wenye wanaendesha na wewe unaondoka. Mimi naendaga pale kama customer kama kila mtu naitisha kama ni kuku nakula na kuenda nyumbani ata ukienda kwa kamati mimi siko. (
We have over 200 people in club Timba but you only see Sudi. I want to educate you that when you start a business you leave it to the managers and move on. I go to Timba like a customer to eat chicken, drink Fanta and go home,” Sudi said in the event which was streaming live on his social media.
