Two members of the selection panel for the recruitment of nominees for appointment as the Chairperson and Members of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) will be sworn in today at the Supreme Court building.
The two are Carolyne Kituku, nominated by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), and Fatuma Saman, nominated by the Inter-Religious Council of Kenya.
Chief Justice Martha Koome will preside over the swearing-in ceremony before the panel convenes its inaugural meeting at County House.
A media briefing will follow the meeting, where details regarding the panel’s mandate and next steps in the recruitment process are expected to be outlined.
Seven of the nine members appointed by President William Ruto were sworn in earlier this week.
They include Prof Adams Oloo, Lindah Kiome Gakii, James Evans Misati, Nichodemus Bore, Koki Muli, Andrew Kipkoech Tanui, and Dr Nelson Makanda.
