Morocco is preparing to host the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
Six cities across the country have been selected to hold matches for this enthralling football tournament, with nine stadiums chosen to welcome teams from across Africa.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in collaboration with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and the Local Organizing Committee of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, announced today the cities that will host the event.
Rabat, the capital, will have the most venues, with four stadiums, while Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakech, Fez, and Tangier, will each chip in with one stadium.
Rabat’s four stadiums will include the Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah, which has a capacity of 69,500 seats.
Other venues in the capital will be Stade Al Barid, which can hold 18,000 spectators, Stade Olympique Annexe Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah, with a capacity of 21,000, and Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan, which holds 22,000.
Casablanca will be home to the Complexe Sportif Mohammed V, with a seating capacity of 45,000.
Agadir’s Grand Stade d’Agadir will accommodate 41,144 people, while Marrakech’s Grand Stade de Marrakech has a capacity of 41,245.
Fez will host matches at the Complexe Sportif de Fes, which seats 35,468, and Tangier will feature the Grand Stade de Tanger, with a 45,000-seat capacity.
The nine stadiums scattered across Morocco’s cities are set to play a central role in what promises to be a thrilling AFCON 2025.
In today’s AFCON 2025 draw, Morocco found itself placed in Group A, alongside Mali, Zambia, and Comoros.
