The National Youth Service (NYS) has unveiled 243 job opportunities for its graduates to work in Israel. The positions offer competitive salaries and a maximum contract period of five years, providing an exciting chance to work abroad.

Available Positions and Salaries

The positions are divided into two salary categories:

  1. Basic Salary: Ksh 350,000
    • Civil Engineers or Civil Foremen: 10 positions
    • Foremen in Carpentry: 8 positions
    • Foremen in Steel Fixing: 8 positions
    • Foremen in Plastering: 6 positions
    • Foremen in Masonry: 5 positions
  2. Basic Salary: Ksh 250,000
    • Construction Carpenters: 80 positions
    • Steel Fixers: 80 positions
    • Plasterers: 50 positions
    • Tile Masons: 50 positions
    • Heavy Machinery Operators: 40 positions
    • Electricians: 20 positions
    • Plumbers: 30 positions

Employment Terms and Working Hours

Successful candidates will be employed for up to 63 months. The workweek consists of six days, with full workdays from Sunday to Thursday and a half day on Friday. Saturdays are designated as rest days.

Workers are expected to complete:

  • 12 hours on full workdays
  • 8 hours on half days

This ensures a minimum of 236 guaranteed hours per month, with a basic hourly wage of 32.30 New Israeli Shekels (NIS). Overtime pay ranges from 125% to 150% of the basic wage for hours worked beyond the guaranteed time.
