In the coming days, Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States during an inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C., marking the beginning of his second term in office.
As per tradition, all living former U.S. presidents are expected to attend the event, including Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton. However, former First Lady Michelle Obama has confirmed that she will not be attending, reflecting her ongoing differences with Trump.
Among the high-profile guests, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is set to attend the event alongside fellow billionaires Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg. Musk, who has recently forged a strong connection with Trump, will reportedly be seated with these prominent figures during the ceremony.
This year’s inauguration entertainment lineup leans heavily on Country and Rock music, diverging from previous ceremonies that featured stars like Beyoncé. Notable performers include Billy Ray Cyrus and Kid Rock, both of whom endorsed Trump during the 2024 presidential election.
The celebrations kicked off with rapper Snoop Dogg performing at the Crypto Ball in Washington, D.C., where he delivered hits like Drop It Like It’s Hot. However, his performance sparked online criticism, with some questioning his decision to participate in an event tied to Trump.
On Monday night, the Liberty Ball will feature performances by Jason Aldean, saxophonist Lee Greenwood, and the iconic group The Village People. Known for their colorful stage presence and hit songs like Y.M.C.A. and Macho Man, The Village People have become synonymous with Trump rallies, blending nostalgia with political undertones.
Eight-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood is scheduled to perform America the Beautiful alongside the Armed Forces Choir and the U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club shortly before Trump takes the oath of office.
Other performances include the Rascal Flatts and award-winning singer-songwriter Parker McCollum at The Commander-in-Chief Ball. At The Starlight Ball, American singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw will also take the stage to entertain attendees.
Trump’s second inauguration is expected to draw widespread attention, with both supporters and critics closely watching the proceedings and celebrations.
