On Friday, January 10, 2025, Senator Boni Khalwale celebrated his daughter, Velma Nasiebanda Khalwale, for achieving exemplary grades in the 2024 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) exams.
In a heartfelt statement, the Kakamega Senator revealed that Velma had surpassed expectations in almost all the subjects she sat for.
“Shining on her way to junior secondary school. Velma Nasiebanda Khalwale has done it! Congratulations! My family and I profoundly thank the Lord Almighty and the Kakamega Hill School fraternity,” Khalwale shared.
Velma excelled in key subjects, including English, Kiswahili, Mathematics, Science & Technology, Nutrition, Agriculture, Social Studies, Art & Craft, Music, Physical Education, and Christian Religious Education, earning top marks across the board.
A Legacy of Celebrating Academic Excellence
Boni Khalwale has consistently celebrated his children’s academic milestones over the years, with public acknowledgments after the release of either KCPE or KCSE results.
In February 2024, Khalwale addressed speculation about the size of his family during a press conference, where he shared details about his children and wives. He revealed that he has 17 children from four wives.
Details of Khalwale’s Family
The Senator disclosed that his first wife, Adelaide Khalwale, who passed away five years ago, had three children with him. His second wife, Josephine, is the mother of three children, one of whom has completed university, while the other two are still pursuing their studies.
His third wife, Gloria, has eight children, some of whom are at university, while others are in lower levels of education. Meanwhile, his fourth wife, Diana, has three younger children who are still in school.
“All my children are my copyright, and I have never had their paternity in doubt,” Khalwale emphasized.
With 17 children accounted for in early 2024, it remains unclear if there have been any new additions to the family since then.
