The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has provided an update following the temporary crash of its website after the release of the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.
In a statement, KNEC attributed the issue to an overwhelming number of requests sent to the portal, with up to 300,000 hits per second causing delays in feedback.
The Council confirmed that the issue had been resolved and assured candidates and parents that the site is now fully operational.
“The portal for checking the 2024 KCSE examination results is fully functional, and candidates are receiving their results,” KNEC stated.
While acknowledging minor delays due to the high traffic, the Council urged patience, assuring all users that they would eventually access their results.
“We urge Kenyans to be patient and assure them that everyone will be able to access their results,” KNEC added.
Candidates are advised to visit the portal at https://results.knec.ac.ke for their results.
This development comes after earlier frustrations when users encountered error messages due to the system crash.
