The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially released the 2024 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) results.

In an update on Tuesday, January 7, KNEC announced that the results have been uploaded and are accessible on the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) portal at cba.knec.ac.ke. Schools that registered candidates for the assessment have been advised to log in to the portal to retrieve their learners’ results.

How to Check KPSEA Results

Follow these steps to access the results:

  1. Visit cba.knec.ac.ke.
  2. Log in using the valid CBA credentials provided during registration.
  3. Click the “Login” button to access the CBA portal home page.
  4. Select the Grade 6 option and click on Assessment Reports.
  5. Navigate to NOMINAL ROLL and copy the student’s Assessment Number.
  6. Return to the KPSEA Slip section, paste the Assessment Number, and click View.

The KPSEA is a national examination designed to evaluate Grade 6 learners under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). In 2024, a total of 1,313,913 candidates participated in the assessment conducted across 35,573 examination centers nationwide.

The assessment was administered between October 28 and November 1, 2024, covering subjects such as:

  • Mathematics
  • English
  • Kiswahili
  • Integrated Science
  • Creative Arts and Social Studies

With the results now released, the pioneer cohort of CBC learners is set to transition to Grade 9 as part of the ongoing curriculum reforms.
