As Kenya ushers in 2025, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi delivered a hopeful New Year message, emphasizing progress and unity under the Kenya Kwanza administration.

In a statement shared on social media on January 1, Mudavadi expressed his best wishes to Kenyans, stating,

“As the New Year 2025 begins, I wish Kenyans God’s grace and blessings. This is the year that Kenyans will realize the good and strong foundation that Kenya Kwanza has put in place for the great trajectory of our beloved nation.”

Mudavadi reflected on past challenges, framing 2025 as a turning point when the administration’s groundwork would yield tangible results. He called on Kenyans to work hard, remain peaceful, and uphold the nation’s resilient spirit.

“I would like to rally Kenyans of all walks of life to work hard, be peaceful, and keep the Kenyan spirit alive,” he added.

The Kenya Kwanza administration, led by President William Ruto, has faced criticism over economic policies and governance. However, Mudavadi positioned 2024 as a year of laying the foundation for transformative policies, with 2025 set to showcase their benefits.

Opposition figures, particularly from the Azimio la Umoja coalition led by Kalonzo Musyoka, have raised concerns about the administration’s ability to address persistent economic hardships and social inequalities. Despite this, Mudavadi’s message sought to inspire hope and confidence in the government’s trajectory.

Beyond politics, Mudavadi extended a unifying appeal to all Kenyans, calling for collective efforts to promote peace, health, and prosperity.

“I wish every Kenyan good health and prosperity in all their endeavors,” he concluded, expressing his vision of a united and progressive nation.
