Ex-Tahidi High actor Xavier Nato

The theatre fraternity has woken up to the shocking news of the demise of Xavier Nato.Nato who has been ailing with after suffering a stroke had been recovering at a Nairobi hospital.Nato became a national star when he started in the popular TV school series, Tahidi High on Citizen TV.
The amiable and friendly thespian is remembered for founding the Millaz Productions, one of the foremost theatre companies today.He is also remembered for crucial role in shaping the Kenya Schools and colleges Drama Festival as an actor, director, playwright and trainer.
While as a director at Nairobi Aviation College he is also remembered for first Play in Kiswahili and Sheng comedy ‘Bafu Chafu’ at Kakamega High School in 2005 and his Oral Narrative piece ‘ Shichinjio’ at Mombasa in 2006.
“How does one begin to pay tribute to such a personality like Xavier? How does one recreate that booming laughter? That mischievous grin? The wit, humour and calmness with which he viewed everything? Go well Xman,” mourned C J Junior, a colleague of many years.
“Xavia Nato was a prolific actor, Script writer and actor as well as a corporate master of ceremonies. We worked so well together,” recalled Wycliffe Buhere who at some time was the Nairobi Chairman for the Colleges edition of the drama fete.
Among those to send condolences to the family and friends is the National Chairperson of the KNSCDF Prof Christopher Odhiambo.
