Kenyan Workers Safely Arrive in Qatar-Labour CS Alfred Mutua

In a post shared by Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua, he confirms that the first, second, and third groups of Kenyan workers headed for Qatar have successfully arrived in Doha. They received a warm welcome from their employing agencies and Kenyan officials at the airport and were promptly escorted to their designated workplaces to begin their new jobs. The fourth and final group, which departed from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) today, has also safely reached Qatar.

In the past few days, 283 Kenyan workers have migrated to the Gulf country. The first group of 30 departed from Nairobi two days ago, followed by the second group of 28 and the third group of 80 yesterday. Today, the final group of 145 has landed safely and is now settling into their new environment, ready to commence work and gain new skills.

These workers exemplify the resilience and dedication characteristic of Kenyans. They seek not only to improve their own lives but also to contribute to Kenya’s development through the remittances they will send home and the skills they will acquire

The CS posted, “This successful initiative showcases President William Ruto’s administration’s commitment to securing meaningful and respectful employment opportunities overseas, while prioritizing the safety and welfare of Kenyan workers. As these individuals step into their new roles, we celebrate their ambition and look forward to the positive impact they will have both in Qatar and back in Kenya.
