Kenyan businesses will have an opportunity to showcase their goods and services to the Egyptian market in an trade fair in Nairobi in May next year.
The event will also see Egyptian investors and industrialists showcase their products to the Kenyan market.
Speaking at the ongoing Egyptian-Ugandan Economicand Trade Forum at Kampala, the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association(EABA) Chairman Dr Yussrey El Sharkawi announced that Kenya’s strategic and crucial for a deepened trade with Egypt.
The trade and economic fair in Nairobi will attract also neighbouring industrialists, tech companies and businesses from across the East Africa region.
Whilst Kenya and other neighbouring countries have been trading with Egypt, the trade balance has skewed in favour of Egypt.
Yet there’s room for improved volumes as well as diversifying goods and services for a continent that is increasing in population.
Many Egyptian factories have shown signs and interest of establishing base in Nairobi including opening new manufacturing plants for electronics, apparel as well as food processing.
