The Lifetime Achievement Award acknowledges individuals who have made exceptional and lasting contributions to their respective fields. These awards celebrate legacies that inspire future generations, emphasizing dedication to societal progress and innovation across various sectors.
The National Mining Corporation (NMC), which presented the award, serves as the investment arm of the Kenyan government. Established under the Mining Act of 2016, the corporation is tasked with mineral prospecting, managing government investments in the sector, and fostering partnerships in mineral exploration and production.
NMC plays a pivotal role in enhancing the mining sector’s contribution to Kenya’s economy, guided by a board of directors appointed by the President to align with national priorities in resource management.
