Mookh Africa Apologises to Fans After Ticketing Glitch
Mookh Africa has issued an apology to Kenyan fans after its platform crashed during ticket sales for the CHAN 2024 quarterfinal clash between Kenya and Madagascar.
The company explained that when sales opened at 12 pm, its system was overwhelmed by automated bots, locking out genuine fans from securing tickets.
“Our system was overwhelmed by bots, preventing real fans from buying tickets. We are actively working to block them so tickets go to fans—not bots,” the firm stated.
Mookh assured supporters that tickets would be back on sale soon and thanked them for their patience.
Earlier, fans reported encountering error messages while accessing the site. Later, when the page finally loaded, it indicated that tickets had sold out—sparking frustration among many Kenyans.
While some assumed the “sold out” notice reflected the high demand for the match, Mookh clarified that the disruption was caused by bots rather than genuine purchases.
